Like its namesake island off the California coast, our Catalina 11.4 touring SUP is a perfect combination of beauty and ruggedness. Designed specifically for women and smaller paddlers, the shorter length than typical displacement hull SUPs provides an optimal length and weight for women paddlers seeking a board for longer paddles, training, touring and recreational racing. At 27 lbs, the board is light enough for most to handle carrying to the water and loading on roof racks . The Catalina Series touring boards are using our new Timber-Tech Construction, with new paulownia wood veneer, providing superior durability in conjunction with our carbon fibre reinforced standing area and Kevlar reinforced rails and edges. In a move towards more sustainable construction methods we are using paulownia wood in the construction. Paulownia is one of the worlds fastest growing timbers, and has ideal weight to strength properties.
